Julianne Moore
Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore, has been a Hollywood actor and author for several years. She is also acclaimed by reviewers. Sagittarius. Born on the coast of North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's among the three youngest children of Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a parachutist. The Moore family has English and Scottish heritage. Due to her father's job the Moore family often relocated and she had to work hard to make friendships, or to keep ones. After her family relocated to Germany Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School where she was first a part of productions. She continued her education at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with B.F.A. A thesis on Theater. After graduating, Moore began her off-Broadway career in New York. Her screen debut came in 1985 with an episode in the show The Edge of Night. She performed the double role as Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in the show As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. In 1988, she played an actress on the show, and won a Daytime Emmy Award. She made her film debut in the year 1990, with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie the film she later described as a shambles low-budget production. Short Cuts, both produced by Robert Altman (1993), and 3 Women, also productions by Altman (1997) were among her movies. Moore received numerous nominations and acclaim for the debut film. Moore was offered her first lead role on the screen in Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg gave Moore her first leading role in Safe (1995). It was 1997 when the career of this actress reached a pivotal moment. She was cast in the role of Jurassic Park: The Lost World. The movie was one of the most popular films in 1997. She was awarded a SAG Award nomination for Magnolia at the end of 1999. In 2002 she co-starred in The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. Moore also appeared in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) and many others. Non-Stop was a show that aired in 2014. Moore was in a variety of productions and films. Recently, she was featured as the lead in When You Finish Saving The World (2022). In Hollywood, she has also made herself a writer for children. She released her first book Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and it was an N.Y.T. bestseller. The best-selling book was made into a movie, series and even a musical. In 2013, she published the book, My Mom is A Foreigner. Moore is an accomplished writer and actress. Moore's personal life is therefore in the public domain. In 1984, she got married to John Robin and in 1995 they separated. They have two children together with Bart Freundlich whom she later was married to in 2003. Moore's career, family and friends are the most important things in her life.
