Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. One year later Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by taking 200 metres at 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200 meter during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, defeating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in the events.
