Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and was signed by Adidas to become professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in each of her events.
